Joyce Phang

Ms Joyce started learning the piano at the age of 7 and completed her Associated Board of Royal School of Music (ABRSM) Grade 8 at the age of 16. Upon completing her college studies, she pursued a degree in Accounting and Finance and later on the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). She also currently holds the Associate of Trinity College of London (ATCL) diploma in piano performance.

During her student years, she had accumulated various experiences with children and young adults. She had worked as a volunteer at autistic centres in China for a programme for 6 weeks, mainly assisting the teachers in classes but was also given the chance to conduct a few of them. She also worked as a volunteer teacher to teach refugee children English and Mathematics back in Malaysia. She was also a regular keyboardist in her church since secondary school and had guided other aspiring keyboardists.

After working in the accounting and finance industry for a few years, she decided to change her career to a piano teacher due to her stronger passion in music. Since then, she has taught children from as young as four years old to adults. She believes that music is fun and enjoyable, and that music is important in everyone's lives.
